A recent conservation experiment to reintroduce quolls back onto the mainland in Australia has had limited success, mainly due to the human impact on the ecosystem. This article discusses why the release wasn’t as successful as planned, and gives a platform to explore the human impact on ecosystems from the Year 7 Biological Sciences curriculum.
