Film Description
Jared Kaplan, theoretical physicist at John’s Hopkins University, looks to black holes, gravity, and even a dazzle of zebras, to examine profound and whimsical questions about spacetime and our universe.
Lesson Inspiration
This film series explains three of the big questions of the universe using animations and clear explanations. It covers a wide range of
science concepts for senior students and demonstrates how scientific theories are continuously changing and being refined.
Useful when:
Teaching about sub-atomic particles, fundamental forces and the Big Bang theory. It is also a good example of how much we still don’t know (or aren’t sure of) in science and thus, emphasise the importance of scientists in society.
