Kate Douglas is a senior architect for Outlines Landscape Architecture in Melbourne. Her experience has been in design-focused architectural practices where the detail is as important as the spirit behind the very first concept. She is particularly interested in public realm design that speaks to the community, either directly through a consultation process, or via the end experience of material and place.

Highlight some lesser-known careers in STEM in this series to inspire students. Increasing awareness of careers in STEM is a proven way of improving students’ perceived value of STEM and motivating them to pursue STEM pathways. Use this resource with Year 6-10 students to start learning about a career as an architect.
