The Tragic Tale of Mary Mallon: The most (in)famous healthy carrier of typhoid fever through foodborne transmission was Mary Mallon who became known as ‘Typhoid Mary’.
Lesson Inspiration
These short films describe the spread, causes and prevention of typhoid. It is often thought of as a historical disease however it still exists today. Many of our learnings from researching typhoid are applied when trying to understand current viruses like flu and COVID-19.
